Splendid video from the master storyteller! The starfighters are an ideal example of why the 40k universe is so fascinating. In a scifi/space opera universe which feels a bit same old same old there's something different and compelling about 40k.

I have an interesting theory and I would like your knowledge. Using the Plants of Death (trees, roots and branches) of the Domain of Thanatos from God of War Ghost of Sparta as an example, could the Circle of Vanity be a Forest of Bone (with the fragrant air of Death)? Or does it work better as Coral with Seaweed (example the Sea Gardens of the Laer)?

Can we get some love for "grots on the ceiling"?

I CANNOT HELP BUT TO START LAUGHING MY ARSE OFF....BECAUSE IN MY HEAD NARRATIVE, ALL I CAN HEAR IS VAL KILMER , ( PLAYING MADMARTIGAN IN THE GEORGE LUCAS / RON HOWARD MOVIE "WILLOW", 1988, With Warwick Davis,) SAYING "THERE'S A PECK HERE WITH AN ACORN POINTED AT ME!!🤣🤣, And then the use of the word throughout the film such as : "OUT OF THE WAY PECK!" (AT LEAST 10×s) and then at one point he literally says Peck Peck Peck Peck Peck Peck Peck Peck ......Peck!...... I KNOW SOMEONE IS GONNA SAY SOMETHING ABOUT "DEROGATORY...BLAH BLAH BLAH..." , BUT IT WAS THE 1980'S, AND IT WAS A RUNNING JOKE IN THE MOVIE! AT one point, a BROWNIE, which is basically a TINY FOREST FAE CREATURE, EVEN CALLS WILLOW A "PECK".. (DESPITE BEING LIKE 4 FEET SHORTER THAN HIM!! ), AND it is HILARIOUS!!! ANYWAYS....WHENEVER YOU SAY PECK, I AM BROUGHT BACK TO A MUCH MORE INNOCENT TIME OF MY YOUTH, WHEN I COULD USE MY POCKET MONEY/ ALLOWANCE/ PAPER ROUTE TO BUY CITADEL MINIATURES RIGHT OUT OF WHITE DWARF, AND HAVE ENOUGH $$$ LEFT OVER FOR A TRIP TO THE COMIC SHOP!!

I haven't seen ANY fiction involving the rak'gol! Super happy to see them getting mentioned! This is why I come here, a true appreciation for the deep lore and more obscure bits of the setting.

I'm attempting a 40K novel and was wondering how a planetary defense station could hold out briefly against a large Ork Warband. A squadron of Fury fighters sounds perfect so I can flex a little voidspace combat before the ground invasion.

You will need this thing to go from one planet to another, because if things are closer then ships will deal with it, why bother at all, and they have to carry stuff with enough umph to actually hurt a ship big enough to carry a hundred of these... yeah... in a lower tech civilization something of this caliber will be an outright ship on it's own... like... let's say Roci in the expanse was originally an MCRN corvette, in 40K, a boat that size hardly matches to an interceptor...

If only Mephiston was there, with his ability to step out of time, almost NO ONE can survive battle against him. His psychic abilitiss are not increasing, but his psychic power pool is increasing and will keep increasing till he dies, hes already an omega level power, I think eventually his power pool will exceed the emperors.

Fighter jock and the cargo pilot A cargo plane is flying along, doing its cargo plane thing, when a fighter jet comes up alongside. The fighter jock decides to poke some fun at the pilot who's forced to fly such an ungainly vessel. "My plane's so much more advanced than yours. Watch this, " says the jock, as he proceeds to do loop-de-loops, barrel rolls, corkscrews, and all manner of fast-paced aerial acrobatics "Very impressive," responds the cargo pilot. "But that's nothing. Watch this." For a half hour, the large craft simply plods along straight as an arrow, not even so much as dipping the wings. After a while, the cargo pilot comes back on the radio and says, "So, what'd you think?" Jock: "What d'you mean? You didn't do anything. You just flew straight for a while." Cargo: "Oh no, that wasn't all. I got up, stretched my legs, got some coffee, and went to the bathroom..."
